Volt is hiring a Material Mover / Inventory Specialist in the city downtown San Diego.
As a Materia Mover / Inventory Specialist:
- Receive, sort, store, issue, stage, move, dispatch, and ship materials, parts ,tools, assemblies in and out of facilities as assigned.
- Determine the sequence of work order requirements necessary to comply with schedule requirements.
- Take necessary corrective action to prevent and/or cure shortages or delays. Provide data to cognizant departments as assigned.
- Maintain records necessary to show status of any job in assigned area at any time. Prepare necessary closeout documents upon completion of work order.
- Operate any material moving equipment, including two axle trucks, to move materials, parts, tooling, and assemblies to and from assigned destinations.
Positions are temp to hire. Hours are 2st shift, 2pm - 10:30pm but must be able to train on 1st shift (5am - 2:30pm) for a few weeks.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1 year of material handling, staging, or inventory experience
- Forklift experience a must
- Be able to pass a 7 year pre-employment criminal background check and drug test
Pay Rate: $20-25/hr
** Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
