Summary of Duties:
The Manager of Pharmacy Services is responsible for directing and managing the day-to-day operations of an independent pharmacy in a college health setting in the state of Washington. This role involves managing pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, cashiers, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service. The Manager of Pharmacy Services must ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, including recommendations from the State of Washington Pharmacy Commission. The Manager of Pharmacy Services should have a strong background in pharmacy practice, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations. The Manager of Pharmacy Services must provide outstanding patient care and be capable of managing both the clinical and administrative aspects of an independent pharmacy. These duties include managing the CII inventory and perpetual inventory, following the CHS Compliance Plan, participating in the CHS Quality Control program to include studies and assessments within the pharmacy and budget creation and management. This position is responsible to provide professional, safe, pharmaceutical care, service and planning in direct support of the WSU Cougar Health Services Pharmacy. Required Qualifications:

  • A State of Washington pharmacist license and three (3) years of pharmacy experience.

  • Experience in perpetual inventory.

  • Experience preparing financial reports.

  • Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use office software, pharmacy-based software, such as databases, spreadsheets, word processing.

  • Demonstrated experience in quality control.

  • Demonstrated communication skills.

  • Demonstrated customer service experience.

  • Strong written, verbal and electronic communication skills.

  • Maintains current state of Washington pharmacist license at all times.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience managing a pharmacy.

  • Experience working in a college health pharmacy or other independent pharmacy.

Monthly Salary:

$11,227 - $13,940

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
