Area of Development:

Develop Maintenance Technician skills to assist with maximizing the productive time of the equipment by improving the reliability and repeatability of production systems. Develop skills and knowledge to provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility for the maintenance of the equipment.

Specific Areas of Training and Assignments

1. Assist with periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner.

2. Participate in preventative maintenance as outlined on preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer's recommendations.

3. Assist with implementing corrective actions in conjunction with management direction.

4. Comply with all safety standards and regulations.

5. Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.

6. Develop working knowledge of and work with existing Maintenance Techs. for purchasing maintenance supplies and equipment parts as required or directed.

Qualifications:

• Engineering or related technical degree is a plus.

• Experience in troubleshooting or diagnosing electrical, fluid power, mechanical, or plumbing systems.

• Two years of welding, metal fabrication and machining experience a plus.

• Prior experience in areas of maintenance is considered a plus.

• Must have basic computer knowledge (word processing, databases, and graphing software).

• Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with different levels of management and production personnel.

• Proficient in basic problem solving skills.

• Reliability is a requirement.

• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

• Self-motivated

Success indicators

The candidate must be able to demonstrate satisfactory progression in the development program by demonstrating hands on proficiency of required skill sets.
