Position Purpose:

Performs machinist operations to manufacture components from various materials that will be used in the build of automated assembly equipment and other miscellaneous engineered components per internal and external design specifications. The ability to perform the following duties will be required for this position.

Essential Functions:

• Create and optimize CNC machining programs for 3 axis VMC mills, 4 axis lathes, and CNC Boring Mill

• Utilize CAM software, such as Fusion 360, to create machining programs

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and specifications

• Set up machines and fixtures as required to produce custom parts

• Program and operate CNC machines using G-Code and M-Code

• Perform manual machining tasks as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes

• Communicates with supervisors, peers and engineers concerning production issues, changes, and concerns

• Load and unload products using forklift trucks and material handling equipment

• Utilize overhead crane and lifting straps to move various parts

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines to maintain optimal performance

• All other duties as assigned

Education and Training

• High School diploma or G.E.D

• Machine Tool Program and/or Weld Program certificate from a Technical School is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have 5-7 years machinist experience

• Hands-on experience in tooling, fixturing and methods is required

• Experience with machine brands such as Haas, Heidenhain and Mazak is a plus

• Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes

• Good communication and personal skills.

• Able and willing to travel up to 10%

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

• 50% of time spent stooping, kneeling, walking, and standing

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth

• Perception and ability to adjust focus

Environmental Conditions

• Must be able to work in non-environmental controlled environment (hot in summer months/cool in winter months)

• The employee is exposed Dust/debris (eye protection required)

• Oil

• Manufacturing Noise Levels (use of hearing protection required)
