Works in Logistics Center and on construction projects. This role will be making deliveries and pick up construction equipment and consumable construction materials. Assists with keeping the Logistics Center and equipment clean and safe.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

  • Identifies and reports/corrects potential hazards associated with task assignments to maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintains and ensures a clean and safe environment within Logistics Center.

Equipment
  • Cleans, maintains, and prepares construction equipment, tools, and consumables for delivery to construction projects.
  • Operates forklift, bobcat, pallet jack, two wheeled dolly and other equipment to move and manage equipment and material.
  • Manages transfer ticket and other Logistic Center processes.

Driving
  • Delivers tools, equipment and consumables to job sites as required.
  • Performs Daily Truck and Trailer inspections and reports issues and maintenance as needed.
  • Maintains DOT Requirements, Medical Card, and Log Books.

Technology
  • Transfers tools and equipment with Logistics Center inventory system.
  • Responds to email orders within 24 hours.
  • Gains exposure to Microsoft Office 365 (Planner, Excel, etc.).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (requirements before going into job)

  • 1+ years of experience in the construction/equipment rental industry, or equivalent level of education, knowledge and skills.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and material concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Proven ability to accurately perform delivery of materials, tool, and equipment to projects.
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.
  • Demonstrated success in working safely on construction projects and Logistics Center settings.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations that arise on construction projects and Logistics Center environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, physical capacity profile and E-verify.
  • Reliable transportation method to get to and from work.
  • Driver's license in good standing with the State of issue.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • OSHA 10-hour training.
  • Applicable Certifications: Qualified or Certified Forklift and Bobcat.
  • Ability to perform regular preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Computer skills, to include use of email and equipment transfers.
  • DOT Driver's License or Equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop or kneel.
  • The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The associate must regularly drive a delivery vehicle and trailer for up to 8 hours a day.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works in outside weather conditions. The associate frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The associate occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
