A full-service intellectual property law firm is looking for a Patent Prosecution Legal Assistant for their Denver, CO office.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience with National Phase Filing
• Patent heavy role
• BA degree and paralegal certificate
• Must live in Colorado (Denver area)
  • Preference for contract-to-hire, open to direct hire
• MUST be familiar with electronic case management and USPTO rules

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage filing of design patent, and utility patent applications in the United States
• Update and maintain docket with respect to new filings
• MUST be able to jump in and work independently without much supervision
• Open files and prepare documents for filing:
  • Patent applications, Preliminary Amendments, Information Disclosure Statements, Responses to Missing Parts, Assignments, Amendments, payments of Issue Fees
• Maintain client portfolios

Salary: $80-$100k/yr.
