RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Analyst responsible for evaluating and analyzing deficiencies in product function or performance and recommending improvements. This role will lead the quality assurance efforts for key programs and systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards as outlined in the Quality Management Plan. Key Functions
  • Test Planning and Documentation: Develop and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure complete functional coverage throughout all testing phases
  • Manual Testing Execution: Conduct thorough manual testing to ensure that all delivered solutions and changes meet design specifications and quality standards
  • Defect Identification and Management: Identify, document, and track defects found during testing, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with business subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide feedback throughout the testing process
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Assist in organizing and facilitating UAT, including data setup and troubleshooting support for end users
  • Test Case Maintenance: Regularly review and update test cases in response to product changes, ensuring alignment with current requirements
  • Requirements Traceability: Establish traceability between business requirements and test cases to enhance accountability and transparency
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with the IT team on cross-functional efforts to promote quality improvement practices and enhance user experience
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Adapt testing methods to meet diverse customer needs, ensuring high standards of service and support
  • Defect Reduction Monitoring: Develop and implement strategies to monitor and reduce defects in products and processes


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare, specifically with Managed Care Organization (MCO) claims and clinical data
  • Strong experience in manual testing processes and methodologies
  • Familiarity with writing and executing SQL queries to support testing efforts
  • Proficiency in various system development lifecycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Familiarity with healthcare software solutions is beneficial
  • Experience with Jira (Atlassian) products is a plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
