Inspector III- B

Kent, WA

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections of engine structural, electrical, and mechanical assemblies and systems using CAD models and blueprints.
• Verify assemblies for conformance to engineering requirements and document nonconformances.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve quality issues, ensuring over-communication for clarity.
• Conduct first article, in-process, final inspections, and close-out procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of inspection experience in aerospace, military, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with nonconformance systems and blueprint reading, including 3D models.
  • Experience in performing electronic and mechanical testing and inspections using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
  • Familiarity with inspecting tight tolerance, high-value flight vehicles and systems.
• Skills:
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to document work.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends, as well as comfort with physical tasks such as climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.
• Desired Qualifications:
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or ASQ CQA certification.
  • Experience in aerospace propulsion assembly, installation, and testing.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
