Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Roll shop Utility includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Ensure safe work environment for their self and their coworkers
- Perform daily crane inspections & operations
- Assist in Roll Shop & Mill maintenance
- Accurately fill out paperwork legibly and complete
- Learn to navigate the RMS system.
- Greasing Chocks and updating RMS system when completed.
- Keep RMS updated when wear rings are installed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year minimum of Hot Mill production or Roll Shop Experience in the Steel Industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Overhead crane experience.
- Experience in Machine Shop CNC operations.
- Experience with precision measurement equipment.
