GSE Mechanic

Greenville, SC

Our Support in Greenville, South Carolina site is the home of the F-16 Fighting Falcon production line and provides nose-to-tail aircraft modification, maintenance, repair and overhaul services for both military and civil aircraft. For more than 35 years, the site has provided world-class and affordable sustainment services to thousands of aircraft, such as the C-130, P-3, KC-10, and C-9.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and refurbishment on non-powered ground support equipment.
• Equipment includes, but is not limited to, work stands, holding fixtures, dollies, jacks, trailers, etc.
• Inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability.
• Remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall GSE accessories and components.

Qualifications:

• Three or more years of hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience using basic hand tools (screw drivers, hammer, wrench, etc.) and power tools (miter saw, drill, router, circular saw, etc.).
• Areas of Expertise:
  • 2-4 years of Maintenance experience
  • 2-4 years of Mechanical and Electrical Systems experience
• Technical Skills:
  • Mechanical Aptitude with 2-4 years of experience
  • Wood Finishing with 1-2 years of experience.
• Desired Skills
  • Experience bending conduit
  • Basic welding knowledge
  • Ability to follow local policies.
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics, engineering drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Light electrical experience
