The Global Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the organization adheres to all international trade laws and regulations. This role involves managing import and export compliance, implementing compliance policies and working closely with various stakeholders across the organization to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supporting the global trade compliance of all YETI products in all markets.
  • Support the day-to-day import/export activities (transactions) in the Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand region including interaction with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Perform import and export compliance reviews and post-entry audits.
  • Respond to inquiries from customs brokers, internal customers, external customers and vendors for international shipments.
  • Assist in the implementation of corrective actions resulting from internal audit findings and compliance assessments.
  • Assist with monitoring of brokerage key performance indicators.
  • Support HTS Classification program management.
  • Support Global Trade Compliance team on compliance related projects such as drawback and reconciliation.
  • The Global Trade compliance specialist will co-ordinate and collaborate with variety of stakeholders (Supply chain, Logistics, External 3rd party logistics providers, Customs Brokers)
  • Resolve cross border issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Attributes:
  • 2-4 years' experience in import/export operations and trade compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Logistics, Trade Compliance, Business Administration or another related field.
  • Able to quickly distill large amounts of information into concise summaries.
  • Knowledge of ACE, SAP, Excel, MS Suite.
  • Position requires onsite work at our HQ office located off Southwest Parkway in Austin, TX. If not local to Austin, you must be willing to relocate.
