The SEI Residents assist in training the brightest students in the coding industry in Javascript fundamentals and engineering best practices via our Hackers in Residence Program. SEI Residents are student-facing members of the team.

SUMMARY: The SEI Residents assist in training the brightest students in the coding industry in Javascript fundamentals and engineering best practices via our Hackers in Residence Program. SEI Residents are student-facing members of the team.
THIS POSITION IS RESERVED FOR GRADUATES OF GALVANIZE SOFTWARE ENGINEERING PROGRAMS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group technical and project management guidance and support to students
- Conduct whiteboarding and mock interview practice with students
- Conduct code reviews on students' project work
- Share observations on student progress with the Cohort Leads and Technical Mentors
- Facilitate social events with students
- Contribute to campus operational needs and projects
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful graduate of the Hack Reactor SEI Program; may be actively enrolled in the senior phase of the program

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Software engineer experience, particularly regarding Javascript knowledge and emerging technologies
- Ability to clear required background check
