Description: Job Summary:

The Fabrication Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment within a meat processing facility. This includes ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.

Essential Functions:

• Equipment Maintenance:
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, and packaging machines.
  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on fabrication equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues.
  • Respond to equipment failures and breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and coaching to team members.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including food safety and sanitation standards.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and codes related to food processing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, such as HACCP and GMPs.
• Cost Control:
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, including parts and labor.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food processing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of fabrication equipment and processes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Certification in industrial maintenance or related field.
