Assess, develop, propose and manage projects within customer constraints. Oversees safety and adherence to timeframe and costs throughout the project to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction. Supports other project managers as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Assesses and fulfills project needs in terms of equipment and labor, oversees safety and adherence to timeframe and costs throughout the project to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction.
  • Plans for initiation of project by scheduling resources; visits sites prior/during project as needed; orders supplies, equipment, trucks and drivers for projects.
  • Must be able to provide timely, concise and relevant information to customers, management and coworkers.
  • Be intimately involved in scoping, risk assessment, and pricing of projects, assuring proper margin is quoted. Prepare required reports, including proposals, cost estimates, comprehensive scopes of work, and shipping volume reports.
  • Act as an agent of business and is involved with developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and vendors. Interfaces with internal and external customers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; securing resources to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors and determining waste disposal or destruction options.
  • Visits sites during project to monitor and keep client apprised of progress; recognizes and negotiates changes in original project plan and adjusts costs accordingly; performs field activities such as collecting samples if necessary.
  • Act as liaison for Enterprise Program Managers in dealing with project related activities at existing customer facilities.
  • Negotiates project terms and pricing with third party suppliers/contractors.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals and presentations.
  • Responsible for timely invoicing, cash-flow, profitability and aging for all project related activities.
  • Enter project information into Salesforce.com.
  • Visit customers as needed to scope and/or manage projects. Must be able to travel both nationally and internationally 40-60% of the time.
Education Qualifications
  • Required High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree
Experience Qualifications
  • Required 3+ years Managing projects and providing consultative solutions to clients.
  • Required 3+ years Waste management, remediation or environmental industry experience
Skills and Abilities
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.
  • Proven ability to perform field work, write reports and manage multiple projects in a quality manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and deliver multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of various federal, state and local industry-related regulations.
  • Strong business writing and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Hazardous waste experience a plus.
  • Travel required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
