A DAY IN THE LIFEEnthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, and toxicology testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
NOTE: This is a part-time position, located in our Durham lab within our M325B Sample Receiving Department. Candidate must be available to work Monday - Friday 3pm - 8pm. The ability to work a weekend day in lieu of a weekday is a plus. The ideal candidate would have or be pursuing a degree in a Science Field. Salary range is $18.50-$20.00 per hour. Great opportunity for a college student to gain some insight into a career in an Environmental lab.As a key member of the Durhamteam, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Receive Incoming Samples and Reconcile to Client Chain of Custody
- Maintain neat and organized records
- Enter Sample information into a Data Tracking system
- Preparation of sampling tubes for Client use
- Maintaining clean laboratory areas
- Assisting the rest of the Group as needed
- Practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Technical Director
YOUR EXPERTISE & SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position
- Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
