Excentium, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran owned small business that provides Cyber Security Engineering, Information Assurance (IA), management, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and other IT services to government and commercial organizations.

We have an opportunity for an Enterprise Security Architect supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Public Trust

LOCATION: Remote

Position Overview
Will as across security functional areas, which include Infrastructure Security Application and Data Security, Security Operations, Governance, Risk and Compliance. Coordinate schedules and report on activities to Sr. leadership. Partner with multiple projects and initiatives to apply security architecture requirements, develop solutions, integrate security into solution designs, access risks of security gaps, and develop architecture remediation. Review and Validate implementations against approved architecture and design. Provide expertise and guidance to the teams to meet Regulatory and Compliance requirements

Expertise:

• Experience at a senior level (architecture, development, other technical competency) over at least 7 years in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise with the design and development of IT architecture, expertise must include a wide range of work in creating diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise IT systems including network topology.
• Knowledge and success with guiding structures to advance the development of legacy and new health IT digital architectures including cloud, mobile, IoT, APIs, VR/XR, 5G, PQC, and AI technologies.
• Demonstrated success performing all aspects of risk management.
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of Enterprise Architecture tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of Enterprise Architecture tools.
• Expertise guiding architecture tool processes and products (e.g., Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA)).
• Expertise coordinating with program and project leaders to analyze system architectures during design reviews and throughout the conceptual design lifecycle.
• Expertise in a wide range of work in creating diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise IT systems including network topology.
• Experience in identifying security gaps, develops controls, determines functional and non-functional security requirements, and designs solutions that meet business objectives while complying with security standards to achieve Security-by-Design principles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Cybersecurity, or other relevant discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Computer Science, and Network Systems Communications Management).
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field.

Certification:

• CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, SANS, CNDA or equivalent certifications
