Bradford Woods is Indiana University's Outdoor Center located just 30 minutes north of the IU Bloomington campus. Bradford Woods is a private property that consists of 2,500-acres of wooded land with a 110-acre lake. Our property sits just outside of Martinsville off State Road 67. The property is used by over 400 unique programs from retreats and events to environmental education school programs.

Job Summary
In this role, you will take the lead on the annual enrollment process for Camp Riley, while providing vital administrative support to the dedicated team at Bradford Woods. You will have the opportunity to support a variety of impactful program areas, including Environmental Education, Adventure Education, Therapeutic Recreation, and Retreats, all while making a difference in the lives of campers and staff.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Administers all aspects of camper enrollment for Camp Riley, including managing recruitment efforts, handling calls, responding to inquiries, processing requests, and overseeing camper registration and check-in procedures.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians before, during, and after programs.
- Plans, organizes, and attends community events to recruit participants and staff.
- Manages camper enrollment systems, working with IU entities to track and report registration for various events.
- Assists Program Directors with staff recruitment efforts and may act as backup to the human resources representative at Bradford Woods.
- Supports office administration by utilizing scheduling software, answering incoming calls, assisting clients with questions, and communicating pricing and policies.
- Assists with entering purchase request and maintaining internal inventory, as well assist with entering and preparing service agreements.
- Greets visitors, sort and distribute mail, and maintain office supply inventory.
General Responsibilities
- Evaluates office production, revises procedures, or devises new forms to improve efficiency of workflow.
- Organizes office operations and procedures, such as creation of Word and Excel files, bookkeeping, and preparation of payrolls, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other office services.
- Oversees opening, sorting, and routing of incoming mail, answers correspondence and prepares outgoing mail.
- Monitors the use of office supplies and equipment; reorders items as required.
- Ensures that office procedures and policies are being maintained and communicated.
- Compiles, copies, sorts, and files records of office activities.
- May perform other duties related to maintaining an internal website and/or working with social media.
QualificationsCombinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Preferred- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required- 2 years of relevant experience in an office setting, customer service, or scheduling

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Additional InformationOnsite housing is not included in this role.
Work LocationThis position is in person in Martinsville, Indiana.
Advertised Salary$39,500 annually
Work HoursThis non-exempt, hourly position works 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
