We are seeking a talented Engineer IV that excels in their area of expertiseto join our dynamic AEC team. In this critical role, you will manage and support environmental projects and assist clients from project inception to project closeout. Responsibilities:

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as task lead for environmental activities and coordinates the efforts of support staff.
  • Supervise and train junior and mid-level personnel.
  • Assist with the development of standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external policies (e.g., federal/government regulations).
  • Interface with clients, regulators, property owners, and other project stakeholders to ensure site access and work schedules are understood and accepted.
  • Review and summarize analytical data, and develop conclusions based on the results.
  • Ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule goals are met. Including field visits, as necessary.
  • Apply a working knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA to all necessary projects.
Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment.
  • Advanced competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communications skills for environmental consulting applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience on federal projects.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training and current 8-hour refresher. Other OSHA training (30-hour construction) is valued.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense sites.
  • Experience preparing draft work plans and reports.
  • Professional licensure (PE or PG)
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, crawling, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of 35 pounds or more. If required, individual must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to; hard hats, safety-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job is performed in a combination of office work, work throughout occupied and unoccupied buildings, and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Building assessments will be conducted throughout buildings including crawl spaces, attic spaces, and confined spaces. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
