In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Support the Cytiva Pensacola facility with compliance to all EHS requirements to include develop and maintain EHS procedures - working in coordination with the other departments, as well as assisting the facilities and engineering departments with process changes involving Management of Change.
- Coordinate and maintain training and records for programs including but not limited to: HAZCOMM, Fire Extinguishers, Hot Work, LOTO, Confined Space, Ergonomics, Ladder Safety, Accident Investigation, Personal Protective Equipment
- Conduct/support/coach departments in risk assessment tools and support continuous improvement where gaps are identified, monitoring progress until closed.
- Create, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with Value Stream Leaders, Managers, Supervisors and Employee representatives and other key stakeholders (internal and external).
- Own and manage Industrial Hygiene monitoring, analysis of reports, and implementation of effective countermeasures as required.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or EHS related field with 3+ years experience in a similar EHS role.
- Experience managing/overseeing site procedures, work practices related to EHS Regulations, permits, etc.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, including senior management and external regulators
- Problem solving skills, root cause analysis, knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of Process Safety / Process Hazard Analysis / Job Hazard Analysis and emergency response and planning.
It would also be a plus if you possess the following:
- Recognized Professional Certification in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Management (CEM, CHMM, CSP).
- Experience working with ISO 45001 audit activities.
- Auditing Skills including the ability to observe, monitor and analyze existing operating methods and procedures to determine compliance to standards
