BC Forward is currently seeking a highly motivated Cut & Wrap Operator in Manassas, VA 20109

Job Title: Cut & Wrap Operator

Location: Manassas, VA 20109
Contract duration: 6+ Months (Temp to Perm)
Pay Range: $18/Hr. to $19/hr. on W2
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: 40 hours per week - Full time, Temp to Perm

Worker Schedule: Onsite position - 3rd SHIFT - 6PM TO 6AM (4 ON 3 OFF THEN 3 ON 4 OFF - MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.)

Job description:

• Support production according to Standard Operating Procedures and specified quality standards.
• Carries out specific instructions from Production Manager/Supervisor in accordance with the daily schedule.
• Assist in all aspects of our processes.
• Documenting of batch records in real time
• Daily calibrations of equipment such as scales
• Loading product into the equipment
• Loading wrappers and/or bags onto the equipment
• Monitoring the product and escalating any abnormalities or defects.
• Being very attentive to quality controls.
• Moving product from one area to another (carts, totes, drums, pallets)
• Clean and sanitize area during product changeovers in accordance with batch records.
• Preparing product, boxes, wrappers, ingredients
• Loading boxes onto pallets and moving loaded pallets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while production is running.
• Maintaining daily logbooks.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree, (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Math ability:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning ability:

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and vibrations.
• The employee may occasionally be exposed to a risk of electrical shock, extreme heat (non-weather), and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds, infrequently move up to 1000 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
