Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare Cost Estimates for New Business
- Prepare excel or software-based cost estimates, leveraging known and estimated wage rates and related costs plus costs from subcontractors and solutions input.
- As needed, work with Purchasing, Operations, Accounting and Human Resources to research unknown costs.
- Ability to conceptualize proposed projects in terms of management, staffing assignments and logistics.
- Present and discuss completed cost estimates with Operations and Leadership for final approval.
- Create cost disclosures which conform to required client formats.
- Review all appropriate information with sales personnel prior to their submittal to the client.
- Upon request, assist sales personnel in presenting proposals.
Re-evaluating Existing Accounts
- Gather all appropriate information and conduct full analysis of existing accounts, including current time use, current and historical costs, projected time usage, and related savings or increases.
- Compare estimated costs to current financial data to determine and understand variances.
- Present recommendations for cost adjustments to Operations management.
- If required, assist Operations management in presenting findings and recommendations to customers.
Reporting Structure and Relationships
- Reports to the Senior Director of Cost Estimation & Analytics
- Works closely with the Senior Director of Cost Estimation & Analytics, field operations, business development, solutions team and finance.
Experience, Skills and Education
- 1-3 years' costing/solutioning experience in facilities services or similar - professional services, construction
- Multiple US states, subcontract, unions experience
- Preparation of proposal pricing disclosures
- Gathering and populating databases
- Strong analytical and communication skills supported by advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, takes ownership and has pride in their work, resilient, self-starter, and a has a can-do attitude
- Ability to work across departments
- Four-year college degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, economics or computer science

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $63,750.00 - $75,000.00
