Description: The Consulting Architect will collaborate with customers to design, document, and implement robust networking solutions. This senior-level role demands a blend of technical expertise, teamwork, and customer service skills to manage Post-Sale Professional Services engagements from project initiation to closure. The Consulting Architect will leverage the company's Technical Lead team, Project Management Office, Managed Services team, and industry-leading technologies to deliver optimal solutions and value to customers.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical implementation lead/SME for assigned projects, working closely with the project manager and customer to complete project tasks.
- Generate and implement network configurations, follow the project test plan, and complete project documentation for assigned networking projects.
- Ensure smooth transition of documentation to the Managed Services team as required.
- Perform analysis and diagnosis of networking problems.
- Provide third-level technical support for routing, switching, security, and wireless technologies for customers.
- Utilize moderate lab setups to recreate and solve problems.
- Apply knowledge of technology, products, and services to build enterprise networking solutions.
- Invest time in continued education to learn new networking/security technologies and maintain current certifications.
- Assist the Pre-Sales team with solution designs during customer engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience in Cisco networking and knowledge of products and protocols.
- CCIE-R&S or CCIE-Enterprise certification is preferred.
- Advanced networking and complex design experience are highly desired.
- Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with Routing/Switching/Wireless across Cisco platforms are highly desired.
- Experience with Cisco ACI, Nexus DB, NDFC, NDO, and VXLAN is required.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, Catalyst, NX-OS, and ACI deployments.
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of Multi-Pod and Multi-Site ACI design, implementation, and support, including Tenant constructs, Application network profiles, Contracts, Fabric access policies, L3 extensions & Routing, and L3 policies.
- Familiarity with Cisco SDWAN and DNA Center/SD Access is highly desired.
- Advanced understanding of Network Security and Cisco firewalls is required.
- Knowledge of and experience with Cisco Meraki (Hardware, Dashboard, etc.) is desired.
- Solid experience with Wireshark or similar network capture tools for diagnosing TCP/IP-related issues.
- Knowledge of Network Management Systems (Cisco PI/DNAC, Solarwinds, Netbrain, etc.).
- Ability to create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) Documentation.
- Ability to create Change Window (CAB) Method of Procedure (MOP) Documentation.
- Strong verbal communication skills, work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Experience presenting solutions to Engineers, Management, Directors, and C-Level executives.
- Experience assisting Presale Engineers with project Scope/LOE.
