JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is seeking Turnover Coordinators (TC) for a project in the Mobile, AL area. The TCs lead the delivery of assigned projects in a safe and effective manner. To process completion of systems to handover, in line with the project schedule and milestones, ensuring all systems are handed over fully certified in a timely and orderly manner.
Ensure all Project Team Members are aware of /and implement safe working practices and are provided with a safe working environment at all times.
Accountable for the management of the project completions process including the collection and maintenance of all certification records from Mechanical Completion to final handover.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The TC's have the following Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Delivering the turnover work scope to an agreed strategy and plan in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Manage resource requirements and where applicable identify further support requirements as required. Workload prioritization and ensuring that team members fully understand their responsibilities
  • Manage the administration of the Completions systems for Commissioning and Owner use, including ensuring quality of information and accuracy
  • Liaise with Commissioning to determine Certification/Completions Scopes within Limit of System Handover
  • Execution of the arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording and assessing the results of all initial tests which may affect safety to liaise with the Construction Team Leaders to ensure smooth hand over of systems/areas
  • Reviewing completions/certification progress and performance and taking appropriate corrective actions where necessary
  • Managing day to day liaison with personnel to obtain any necessary permissions and minimize impact to the project
  • Ensuring input to other project processes are incorporated, for example, design, hazard, risk, contract, estimating and knowledge management
  • Ensuring that the completions/certification resources utilized are competent / suitably qualified and experienced, including assessment of competence
  • Review of test results and reporting progress
  • Ensuring activities are performed in accordance with the approved testing, turnover, & completions/commissioning program.
  • Discharging all duties including the oversight and assurance of subcontractors and vendors engaged in completions/certification work activities
  • Provide input into planning process as requested.
  • Provide input into safety reviews / walk-rounds
  • Prepare Customer Completions awareness sessions
  • Provide advice and guidance in relation to Completions/Certification
  • Record Processes and procedures for future Projects
  • Record Lessons Learned
  • Ensures operations & maintenance requirements are identified and requirements are tracked for start-up
  • Complies with completions and/or certification procedures.
  • Expedites and assures the full mechanical completion of a system by construction prior to arranging handover activities to commissioning
  • Records and monitors the close out of defects or deficiencies within project scope


QUALIFICATIONS

The TCs will have the following Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Personal attributes:
  • Minimum Level 4 ISCED (post secondary vocation education) in technical subject, Level 5 (short-cycle tertiary) preferred.
  • Significant experience (typically a minimum of 5 years) in a certification and/or completions role, with a proven background in safety
  • Ability to read relevant drawings eg P&ID's, SLD's, GA's , with excellent understanding of LOSH
  • Conversant with the certification and completions processes and associated software
  • Experienced in the production of procedures and reports
  • Experienced in the supervision/training of personnel and team working.
  • Good knowledge of projects and HSEQ safe working practices/ procedures
  • Ability to carry out systemization of projects
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of understanding of HSE processes and procedures and their implementation
  • Ability to work and deliver project milestones in a consistent and structured manner
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Good judgment and reasoning ability
  • Methodical thinker, able to apply problem solving techniques to a variety of situations
  • Good time management and the ability to multi-task; able to maintain an overview of multiple elements of a project, while still handling day-to-day activities
  • Confident working under pressure, able to quickly adapt to deal with unexpected issues
