Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager oversees the daily operations of the Internal QA team, and the QA audit processes dedicated to Resurgent's internal teams to ensure adherence Resurgent business requirements as well as applicable laws and regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manages the staff to encourage the growth of direct reports through calibration meetings and performance reporting including side-by-side coaching, as necessary.
  • Prioritize, distribute, and manage workflow for the team to ensure timely and accurate completion by division deadlines.
  • Facilitate calibration meetings as needed.
  • Manage audit disputes, escalations, and remediation, as necessary.
  • Assist in review a sampling of QA Specialists work to ensure accuracy of scoring.
  • Ensure completion of necessary training of staff.
  • Serve as liaison with functional areas.
  • Subject matter expert concerning the following industry regulatory laws - FDCPA, TCPA, GLBA, FCRA, FACTA, Privacy Act, Dodd-Frank, UDAPP, and other state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with analysts in the reporting of data used to detect issues within the monthly QA results.
  • Administrative functions such as payroll and attendance tracking.
  • Effectively communicate changes in QA program or procedures to staff and functional areas.
  • Regularly review process documentation for accuracy and compliance to federal, state, and regulatory laws including Resurgent's Company Policy.
  • Perform other audit related duties as assigned or as the situation requires.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required. 1-2 years of people management experience preferred
  • Employee development and relationship management skills required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to offer unbiased written feedback
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict deadlines with minimum errors
  • Ability to employ intuition and analytical skills, and interpret assembled data, to identify potential process breakdowns and their potential impacts
  • Strategic planning skills in developing enhancements to existing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable standards or best practices
  • Deep institutional and industry knowledge
  • Capable of leading or facilitating meetings with director level and up attendees
  • Must be flexible to changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Educational Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree preferred
