ECS is seeking a Communications Analyst to work in our Fairfax, Va and Washington, dc - telework office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon [contract award OR additional funding].

Job Description:

We are seeking a Communications Analyst to join our team as we support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as they modernize and transform the Veteran experience through transformative technology Innovation.

This Communications Analyst will deliver client facing consulting services to support project management and the development of internal briefings, meeting communications, communication strategies, marketing, social media posts, and program reporting for the Veterans Administration's Information Technology Communication program.

Tasks may include:

  • Meeting support to garner intimate knowledge of the program.
  • Developing and maintaining communications plan for programs and projects
  • Providing media analysis regarding social media platforms
  • Implementing communications campaigns
  • Designing and managing outreach programs to improve adoption of changes and increase supports.
  • Facilitation of workgroups, user forums and other campaigns to maximize stakeholder engagements.
  • Development of newsletters, memos, announcements, publications, reports and other written and verbal communications to ensure timely and accurate communication with all project/program stakeholders, contractors, project team and managements.
  • Content management for program, office and divisional websites.
Salary Range: 65,000-95,000

Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis on writing.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to extrapolate information for a compelling written document.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • The successful candidate should have an interest in growing and developing within the strategic communications field, be adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proven experience delivering communications support services to clients, either through prior internships or post-graduate work experience.
  • Ability to foster client relationships through excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience developing written and multi-media products, particularly utilizing the Adobe Suite
  • Ability to secure a U.S. security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, result-driven environment.
  • Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels within an organization while possessing diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to work effectively with diverse individuals across functional disciplines.
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients situation and assemble service solutions to meet client's needs.

  • Elevator speeches.
  • Executive briefings.
  • Speech writing.
  • Expertise in Corporate knowledge of large scale communications and implementing successful (proven) communications campaigns in an integrated health care setting.
  • Knowledge/experience with Veterans outreach and communication campaigns.
  • Experience with media analysis regarding social media platforms.
  • PMP Certification desirable.
