Role Summary:

Responsible for designing and implementing data analysis and reporting solutions for healthcare organizations. Work with stakeholders to identify data needs, develop data models, and build and maintain reporting systems. Responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, timely, and accessible to support business decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and supports high-quality dashboard visualizations which provide a consistent user experience and highlight key data elements determined by stakeholders
  • Take part in the iterative process of designing , developing, refining, and testing dashboards
  • Offer best practices in distributing content via Tableau Server (or related tools)
  • Understand the business needs of the key stakeholders and develop actionable and accessible dashboards and reports, leveraging data visualization tools e.g. Tableau
  • Retrieve, organize, and manipulate data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other databases. This will require programming (SQL or similar) to prepare data for reporting and analysis.
  • Responsible for completing thorough quality assurance procedures ensuring accuracy, reliability, and validity of work
  • Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards


Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems preferred
  • Experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • 2-3 years of experience of designing reports and dashboards using Tableau and other data visualization tools preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience of programming languages and/or statistical software (SQL, SAS, Python, or R) preferred
Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Ability to function effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment, organize and prioritize work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Practical problem-solving abilities, i.e. the ability to formulate hypotheses and test options.
  • Strong visualization and usability design skills.
  • Intermediate SQL skills.
  • Tableau certification(s) a plus.
