About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our expanding Energy team. In this role, you will focus on driving business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities in the oil and gas sector, particularly related to the planning, design, and development of pipeline infrastructure and related facilities. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of relevant experience and a strong desire to grow, collaborate, and innovate within the industry. This role involves engaging with key clients across the United States, focusing on projects that span multiple markets and geographies. You will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and deepen your skill sets related to diverse design projects. We are looking for an independent self-starter who can drive business development initiatives and foster lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the oil and gas and RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) industries, particularly related to the planning, design, and development of pipeline infrastructure and related facilities.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients to understand their needs and align our services accordingly.
- Lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation, sales forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Manage and track sales opportunities using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years of business development experience within oil and gas, with a demonstrated expertise in driving sales of pipeline and facility design services.
- Familiarity with pipeline and compression design processes.
- Proven track record in sales forecasting and CRM opportunity management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for innovation in energy solutions.
- Availability to travel for client visits, conferences, and other business development activities at least 50% of the time is required.

Additional Information Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Business Development Manager with a salary range of $100,800.00 - $159,800.00 .
