As an Associate Director of Market Access Learning within the US Commercial Learning organization, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Field Sales teams are prepared to effectively engage with customers on relevant market access topics so patients can have access to our life-changing medicines. You'll also help to advise our Commercial Learning colleagues on Market Access upskilling and product-specific access challenges and opportunities for our field sales teams to pull through with HCPs.

Those who join the Market Access Commercial Learning team will gain insight into key areas of the business: Market Access, Sales, Brand, and other critical partners. The US Commercial Learning team offers a dynamic environment. Collaborate with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members to support business goals through innovative learning experiences. You will leverage your native genius and strengths to make the role your own and contribute to the team with your unique capabilities and thinking.

What you'll do

This role is responsible for Market Access acumen across all BBU Field Sales teams. To do this, you will partner with our BBU Access Strategy colleagues to provide TA- and product-specific Market Access learning. Market Access dynamics vary widely across the teams from Primary Care pharmacy benefit products to buy-and-bill biologics to rare disease products. You will lead upskilling and knowledge-building programs to meet the ever-evolving needs of these Field Sales teams. As a subject matter expert for our Commercial Learning colleagues, you will help ensure our Sales teams have a solid understanding of and ability to address the market access challenges and opportunities they face in the field.

The role entails:

  • Developing and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with internal stakeholders. This includes working to understand stakeholder priorities, identifying opportunities for Commercial Learning to support those priorities, and demonstrating the value of Commercial Learning to our brand, Access Strategy and Sales colleagues.

  • Optimize Market Access training for new learners, develop innovative learning for existing Sales teams and partner with Access Strategy to develop and deliver Access Sessions at Sales meetings.

  • Address Market Access learning needs across all levels of sales including representatives, District Managers and Commercial Business Directors.

  • Managing stakeholders across Sales and working with the Commercial Learning team to determine common needs, identify the most effective paths to addressing those needs, and deliver learning plans, programs, and assets that exceed the expectations of our internal customers.

  • Using your Market Access expertise to advise our sales training colleagues on the creation and delivery of practical, applicable Market Access acumen for field sales teams.

  • Delving into the unique access challenges and opportunities presented by our BBU brands and partnering with our sales training colleagues to incorporate that insight into learning plans.

  • Working to create a culture of learning among our Commercial Learning colleagues to fully embed Market Access as a sales capability.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific/medical or business discipline or relevant experience is required.

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales or Market Access experience with a preference for biologics or rare disease Market Access expertise
  • Clear understanding of Specialty Pharmacy and Buy and Bill space

  • Experience with developing and delivering training content either as a formal or informal function of a role you have held

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills

  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to transition with agility among various projects and topics

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience creating formal training plans and training assets

  • MBA or other advanced degree in relevant field

  • Pharmaceutical field sales experience
