Job Summary:
The Associate Director is a .30-.50 FTE position that reports to the Director of the Colorado Health Education Center (COAHEC) and will serve as a member of the COAHEC’s leadership team and faculty, working collaboratively with all faculty and staff. The COAHEC AD will work on programming, specifically taking over the AHEC Scholars Program as its manager and coordinator. They will represent the Center's program to internal and external parties, building partnerships and assisting COAHEC to meet its grant deliverables in response to heath disparity in Colorado.

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 20 hours per week with hours on campus to include Tuesday mornings until noon hours on either Wednesday or Thursday of each week, and as needed for in-person meetings. The office is located on the fifth floor of Education 2 North on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

COAHEC has worked in delivering grant metrics for the HRSA AHEC model grant since 1977 without pause. We are responsible for the only statewide health occupation pipelining out of the AMC as well as local pathway initiative programming. We manage local and statewide events for Colorado’s preceptor providers, housing for AMC students’ remote clinical rotations, and community educational programming in response to unique SDoH in 6 regions in Colorado. The work we do is profoundly important, far-reaching, and good work in response to health disparity in our state and now reaching into national healthcare disparity. We continue to grow and expand our programs, and our work is timely because it is revised every 5 years to meet the current and foresee the future healthcare needs of marginalized populations. We increase the diversity of the healthcare workforce, we support practice transformation to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery to everyone, and we were as the link between Coloradans, state resources, and the resources of the AMC to help healthy people thrive in health communities. Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$60,000 - $115,000 salary support annually based on 30-50% FTE of current salary (will be adjusted based on FTE up to the NIH salary cap of $221,900 (2024 NIH Salary cap).
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
