POSITION REPORTS TO: Neuroscience Program and Psychology Department

Summary of Position

The Neuroscience Program and Psychology Department invite applicants for a tenure track assistant professor position beginning August 2025.

Experience and Qualifications

A Doctoral degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a closely-related discipline is required by the start date. The hired candidate must demonstrate: (1) a commitment to (a) undergraduate teaching, (b) the active involvement of undergraduate students in research, and (c) diversity, equity, and inclusion, and (2) expertise in systems neuroscience research. The candidate's research should make use of a rat or human model. Teaching load is typically 6 courses per academic year, which may vary depending on advising of senior research projects, and should include introductory-level courses that support the Psychology and Neuroscience programs (e.g., Sensation & Perception), along with upper-level courses in the candidate's area of expertise (e.g., Systems Neuroscience). All faculty are expected to participate in delivering college-wide first-year/sophomore speaking and writing seminars. The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellence in teaching, ongoing scholarship, and professional development.
