Posting Summary:As a member of the OIE leadership team, provide leadership and strategic direction for the semester and summer study abroad operations at the University of Vermont and collaborate with director and Office of International Education Staff for broader integration of outbound international education experiences for UVM students through system integrations, partnership management, administrative leadership, data management and analysis. Lead the study abroad advising team, including work distribution, supervision and evaluation of advising staff. In collaboration with Office of International Education staff and campus partners, develop and implement a robust advising and operational structure for students moving through the study abroad process. Represent UVM's study abroad work internally and externally including in program development and administration and risk management work. Manage TerraDotta database and workflows.
The Assistant Director for Education Abroad leads, supervises and develops a team of professional staff who advise students and coordinate semester and summer study abroad participation. This position reports to the Director of the Office of International Education, which houses education abroad, UVM faculty-led international coursework, and international student, scholar and employee services.
Master's degree and five or more years of professional experience in higher education administration with progressively greater responsibilities in leadership, supervision, program management and evaluation, risk management, faculty engagement and budgeting (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
