Position Summary...
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
What you'll do...
Monitors driver performance and necessary documentation to ensure compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including maintaining the qualifications of all drivers assigned to the Transportation Office by reviewing hours of service (HOS) data and records to ensure compliance; ensuring proper reporting of traffic violations and roadside inspections; assisting with accident and injury investigations, interviews and documentation gathering at the direction of a TO Safety Operations Manager; supporting the Safety Manager and making recommendations for specific areas of concern for further safety review/observations; and ensuring drivers receive proper training and when required, receive re-training. Manages daily fleet safety office operations by monitoring and ensuring fleet performance related to transportation safety and compliance; ensuring compliance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations, (for example, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, PHMSA, etc.) relating to daily operations; and preparing reviews and analyzing safety related documentation and reports by completing and maintaining files for safety training, confidential driver qualification, and inspections. Facilitates and ensures compliance with Federal Drug and Alcohol testing requirements along with company post-accident and injury testing policies by reviewing driver's accident history to ensure accurate payment of safe performance bonuses; and maintaining a high level of confidentially in all matters pertaining to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), litigation, labor law and personal information. Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $66,560.00-$100,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications:Associates Degree with 1 year supervisory experience OR 2 years' Wal-Mart Transportation or CSAP experience OR 2 years in a Safety related supervisory position OR 2 year of experience as a Wal-Mart Fleet Safety associate and recent verified experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, or developing employees OR 1 year of experience as a Walmart Truck Driver with related course work and recent verified experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, or developing employees. Valid state issued driver's license.
