JOB DESCRIPTION
Now hiring an Agribusiness (Corporate) Lender for our South Region. Agribusiness Lenders market and solicit to corporate agribusiness borrowers, offering sound credit and related services according to Association policy, standards and procedures. Negotiates terms/structure and perform risk analysis. Develop appropriate servicing plans on large and/or complex loans. Candidates should demonstrate in-depth knowledge about agricultural practices in the area and strong understanding of complex credit structures.
Responsibilities:
• Must be able to formulate business development strategies and develop customer relationships.
• Skilled in marketing and servicing of commercial loans.
• A thorough understanding of loan agreements and loan documentation is also critical to the position.
• Maintains a current list of prospects, centers of influence, and key people in community and call on them regularly.
• Participate in trade/civil/community organizations to increase business opportunities.
• Provides excellent customer service on the assigned portfolio.
• Is proactive by developing loan servicing plans for monitoring credit risk.
• Ensures timely follow up on compliance issues.
• Is responsive to requests for loan treatments.
• Experienced in documentation and mechanics of loan participations.
• Works closely with other lender, analysts, and loan servicing teams to maintain Association standards and business plan goals.
To qualify for this position, you must have:
• Excellent skills in marketing and loan servicing of large agri-business commercial loans.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer contact skills.
• Accounting skills are essential.
• Strong consumer and commercial lending skills.
• Capacity of handling high stress situations in a business and professional manner
• Ability to negotiate complex transactions.
• Professional appearance, strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Ability to use discretionary judgment in making sound decisions and solving problems.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Agriculture or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in agriculture-related credit work or commercial finance or relevant agriculture experience. Excellent credit skills ad superior customer service skills are required.
