Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis, is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Clerk to be based out of our facility in Sugar Land, Houston.
The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk will be responsible for the processing and coding of invoices, resolving accounts payable issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger; additionally, the Accounts Payable Clerk will process payment runs.
About this Opportunity:
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Process high-volume Accounts Payable invoices for PO Work Orders and Non-PO invoices accurately and timely
- Full-cycle AP SAP input, matching, coding, batching, check preparation, payment runs
- Post credit card payments and sales tax payments to the correct accounts
- Validating, recording, and mailing checks and additionally expediting special handling
- Monitor the Accounts Payable 'inbox' and respond to vendors inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Flexibility to perform additional tasks to support the business
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A successful and proven track record of performing in an Accounts Payable role
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Competent user of Microsoft Office (MS Word and MS Excel)
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
- Demonstrated and strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills - specifically within technical and financial environments
- Excellent attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and written skills
- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- SAP experience
- Sales Tax experience
Location: Sugar Land, Houston, Texas
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent role
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week (flexible start and finish times - hybrid working arrangement available)
Pay Rate: up to $29 per hour
