Muhlbauer, Inc seeks to hire an Accounting Clerk to work in our Newport News, VA office. Will be responsible for assisting Finance Team on accounting operations, processes, and compliance.
Duties assigned to the position:
- Accounts Receivable: receipt and posting of payments
- Accounts Payable: matching invoices, invoice entry, vendor file maintenance
- Must be organized with storage and maintenance of all financial records
- Ensuring that all accounting and operational accounting functions are being performed
- Creating and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly receivables
- Performing and reviewing bank reconciliations with the ability to resolve variances
- Assists in other duties as assigned
- Intermediate level math skills with the ability to do quick addition
- Experience in Microsoft Professional Office
- Organized work behavior with the ability to multitask and prioritize as needed
- Excellent record keeping skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines, prioritizes work, and operates in a fast-paced environment
Process, manipulate and organize sensitive and confidential information. Strong computer skills-MS Excel-Word-Outlook-SAP-Sage, knowledge of database management systems (manual/electronic), be a productive team member and cooperative to collaborating duties/assignments.
Short Profile:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
