Join the Everest 2025 Summer Internship Program! This is an exciting opportunity to receive exposure to the world of Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance through dynamic training, firsthand business experience, and networking with the industry's leading experts and experienced professionals. Throughout the Program, you can expect to build upon the academic foundations you have established at school and apply your learning to real world scenarios.

The Program will run for 10 weeks: June 2 - August 8, 2025

This is a hybrid role - Interns are required to be on-site at least 3 days per week

Everest does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Successful candidates must possess the requisite permanent US employment authorization to be eligible for consideration.

Your Impact & Opportunity

  • Validating and analyzing catastrophe model results for portfolio risk analysis
  • Data manipulation and analytics support
  • Develop procedures for analyzing data for potential exposure to flood and other natural catastrophes.
  • Support in the testing and development of our rating models
  • Developing web or Excel applications to automate pricing workflow

What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications
  • You are a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university, preferably majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or other quantitative fields.
  • While not required, having at least 1 passed actuarial exam is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking, pattern recognition/detection, and problem-solving skills.
  • You possess knowledge of, or aptitude to learn VBA, R, and SQL
  • Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, your community, etc.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment while managing multiple projects and priorities

For NYC Only: The salary range for this position is $800-1,000 per week. This position is eligible for overtime and paid time off. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications, and work location.
